Product Overview
The architecture of Tivoli Global Enterprise Manager (TGEM) comprised several key components. Agents were deployed on managed systems to collect performance and status data. These agents communicated with a central server, which aggregated the data.
The central server stored the collected data in a proprietary database format. A graphical user interface (GUI) provided a visual representation of the system status. Communication between components relied on proprietary protocols within the Tivoli Management Environment (TME).
TGEM did not expose standard APIs. Configuration was managed through the TME. The product is no longer supported.
Users should migrate to alternative solutions for mainframe monitoring and management.
