PDSUTIL

The architecture of PDSUTIL is centered around a batch processing model within the z/OS environment. The dataset access module handles the interaction with PDS and PDSE datasets, reading and writing member data. Data is stored within z/OS datasets, utilizing the underlying storage mechanisms of the z/OS operating system. There are no specific network requirements or ports used by PDSUTIL, as it operates within the z/OS environment. Configuration parameters are specified within the JCL, including dataset names, member names, and operational parameters.

Monitoring and logging are integrated with z/OS system logging, providing detailed information about job execution and any errors encountered.
