The architecture of ITCAM for WebSphere comprised several key components. The Agent, deployed on the WebSphere Application Server, collected performance data. The Data Collector received and processed this data, storing it in a database for analysis.
The Portal Server provided a web-based interface for users to view and analyze the collected data. Communication between the Agent and Data Collector occurred over TCP/IP. The Data Collector used a relational database, such as DB2, for data storage.
