Product Overview
The architecture of Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) is designed to provide a scalable and secure platform for managing financial transactions. The main components include the Transaction Engine, Audit Log, Administration Dashboard, Database Interface, and Message Broker Interface. The Transaction Engine processes transactions, while the Audit Log records all transaction activities and user actions.
The Administration Dashboard provides a centralized interface for monitoring, configuration, and user management. The Database Interface handles interactions with Db2 databases, and the Message Broker Interface integrates with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) for messaging. Communication between components is facilitated through various protocols, including MQ for messaging and HTTP/HTTPS for API interactions.
The system uses Db2 databases for storing transaction data, audit logs, and configuration information. 509 certificates, along with a role-based access control (RBAC) model. Data encryption is used both in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest within the Db2 databases.
The CLI provides scripting capabilities for automating administrative tasks. For example, the command `ftm_database_backup` can be used to back up the database.
