C/FLOW

The architecture of C/FLOW consists of several key components: the HTTP Listener, the Request Handler, the CICS Interface, and the Response Builder. The HTTP Listener is responsible for receiving incoming HTTP requests on a specified port. The Request Handler parses the requests, validates them, and determines the appropriate CICS transaction to invoke based on the configured mappings.

The CICS Interface interacts with the CICS environment, executing the specified transactions and handling data exchange. The Response Builder formats the output from the CICS transaction into a suitable format, such as JSON or XML, for the client. Communication between components is primarily internal, with the HTTP Listener and Request Handler communicating via internal queues or memory structures.

The CICS Interface communicates with CICS using standard CICS APIs. C/FLOW does not use a dedicated database for persistent storage; instead, it relies on the CICS environment for data storage and retrieval. Network requirements include the need for an HTTP/HTTPS port to be open for client connections.

The administrative console and CLI provide interfaces for configuration, monitoring, and management. Security is implemented through authentication methods like basic authentication and integration with security managers, along with RBAC for access control. Encryption is provided via HTTPS.
