The architecture of BMC AMI Energizer for IMS Connect comprises several key components. The IMS Connect Monitor collects real-time performance data, providing insights into IMS Connect behavior. The Parameter Manager allows for dynamic configuration changes without requiring a restart of IMS Connect.
The Workload Balancer distributes incoming traffic across multiple datastores, optimizing resource utilization and preventing overload. The Exit Facility enables the creation of custom exits without assembler coding, extending the functionality of IMS Connect. These components communicate via internal APIs and standard TCP/IP.
The product integrates with MAINVIEW for IMS, providing a unified view of the IMS and IMS Connect environments. Configuration data is stored within z/OS datasets, and security is managed through z/OS security features, such as RACF. The ISPF interface and MAINVIEW for IMS provide administrative access.
