Product Overview

The zPrime architecture consisted of several key components: the zPrime Manager, the zPrime Agent, and a configuration database. The zPrime Manager was the central control point, responsible for managing the overall operation of zPrime, including workload routing and monitoring. The zPrime Agent was a component that resided within the z/OS address spaces and intercepted eligible workload requests.

The configuration database stored the rules and settings that defined which workloads were eligible for offloading to zIIP/zAAP processors. Communication between components occurred through z/OS internal mechanisms. The product is not supported.
