IOF

The IOF architecture is based on a modular design, comprising several key components. The command processor is the primary interface, accepting user input from TSO or CICS. The output retrieval module interacts with JES2 to retrieve job output.

The display module formats and presents the output to the user. Communication between components utilizes standard z/OS system services and protocols. There are no specific API endpoints.

IOF relies on the z/OS environment for its core functionality. IOF uses z/OS security (RACF or equivalent) for authentication and access control. All user actions are logged, providing a detailed audit trail.

Configuration parameters, such as dataset locations and security settings, are stored in system datasets and managed through security profiles.
