AUTOMON/LA/BATCH

The architecture of AUTOMON/LA/BATCH is centered around three primary components: the Data Collector, the Analysis Engine, and the Reporting Module. The Data Collector is responsible for gathering real-time and historical data from CICS regions. It uses native interfaces to access CICS performance metrics and transaction data.

The Analysis Engine processes the collected data, performing calculations and aggregations to provide insights into CICS performance. This component is designed for high-volume data processing and efficient analysis. The Reporting Module generates reports and visualizations based on the processed data.

It provides a variety of report formats and customizable dashboards. Communication between components occurs through internal z/OS mechanisms. The product uses VSAM for storing historical data, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage.

The administrative interface is a TSO/ISPF interface, providing a command-line interface (CLI) for configuration and management. The product integrates with z/OS security, such as RACF, for authentication and access control. The native API allows for programmatic access to monitoring data and control functions.
