The architecture of eventAction is centered around several key components: the Change Tracking Engine, the Command Control Module, the Data Propagation Agent, the Backup and Recovery Manager, and the ISPF Interface. The Change Tracking Engine monitors and logs changes to specified datasets and members. The Command Control Module allows administrators to control the execution of system commands.
The Data Propagation Agent facilitates the replication of changed data to other systems using TCP/IP. The Backup and Recovery Manager provides capabilities for backing up and restoring data. The ISPF Interface provides a user-friendly interface for configuration and management.
Communication between components is primarily through internal z/OS mechanisms. VSAM datasets are used for storing configuration data, audit logs, and tracking information. The system integrates with RACF for authentication and access control.
The CLI provides an alternative interface for scripting and automation. Network requirements include TCP/IP for data propagation.
