Easy/Exit

The Easy/Exit architecture comprises three main components: the Rule Engine, the Configuration Manager, and the Logging Service. The Rule Engine is the core component responsible for evaluating IF-THEN-ELSE rules. These rules are defined in configuration files and loaded by the Configuration Manager.

The Configuration Manager also handles the activation and deactivation of rules. The Logging Service captures all rule executions, system events, and any actions taken, providing a detailed audit trail. Communication between components is primarily internal, using z/OS system services.

The Configuration Manager interacts with configuration files stored on z/OS datasets. The Logging Service writes log data to z/OS datasets. There are no external network ports required for the core functionality.

The command-line interface (CLI) provides the primary administrative interface. The CLI commands are used to manage exit rules, configure logging, and control system settings. For example, to list all active rules, you would use the command: `EZE_LIST_RULES`.

The system uses standard z/OS security mechanisms for authentication and authorization. Access control is managed through the z/OS security infrastructure, allowing for role-based permissions. All rule executions and system events are logged, providing a comprehensive audit trail.
