Share Your ExperienceProduct Overview
The architecture of TASKLIB+ centers around the ISPF environment on z/OS. The main components include the ISPF interface, the TASKLIB engine, and configuration files. The ISPF interface provides the user interface for defining and managing library concatenations.
This interface is built using ISPF dialog manager. The TASKLIB engine is responsible for processing the library definitions and applying them to the current ISPF session. This engine interacts with the z/OS system to modify the STEPLIB and TASKLIB environments.
Configuration files store library definitions, user settings, and security parameters. These files are typically maintained within the z/OS file system. Communication between components occurs within the z/OS environment, primarily through ISPF services and system calls.
There are no external APIs or network protocols used. The product integrates with the z/OS security infrastructure, including RACF or equivalent security managers, for access control. The Launch Express feature provides a streamlined ISPF experience.
The product does not use any external databases or storage mechanisms beyond the z/OS file system for configuration files.
