CQ-JCL Generator's architecture comprises several key components. The GUI provides the user interface for creating, editing, and submitting JCL. The JCL generation engine translates user input into valid JCL statements.
The z/OS connection manager handles communication with the mainframe, including job submission and status retrieval. The template library stores reusable JCL templates, promoting standardization and efficiency. Configuration files store connection details, user preferences, and template definitions.
The GUI interacts with the generation engine to create JCL based on user input. The generation engine then interacts with the z/OS connection manager to submit the JCL to the mainframe. The tool uses user credentials for authentication and role-based access control to manage user permissions.
Logging capabilities track user actions, JCL submissions, and system events. The tool does not expose any APIs. This architecture provides a robust and efficient solution for JCL management, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy.
