The architecture of Co:Z Batch comprises several key components. The Job Submission Daemon (JSD) is responsible for receiving and queuing job submission requests. The Job Execution Engine (JEE) executes the submitted jobs, managing the execution environment and resource allocation.
The Configuration Manager handles system-wide and job-specific configurations, reading settings from configuration files. The system utilizes internal messaging queues for communication between the JSD and JEE. Job status and output are stored in z/OS system logs and job-specific output files.
There are no external databases or storage mechanisms beyond the z/OS environment. Network requirements are minimal, primarily for internal communication within the z/OS system. The system uses standard z/OS security features for authentication and authorization.
The CLI provides the primary interface for administration and job control. The configuration files are located in the `COZ_HOME/cfg` directory.
