RLX/ISPF

The architecture of RLX/ISPF is centered around three main components: the RLX/ISPF command processor, the DB2 interface, and the ISPF table management utilities. The command processor is responsible for parsing and executing RLX/ISPF commands, such as `RLXLOAD` and `RLXDISPLAY`. The DB2 interface handles the communication with the DB2 database, including establishing connections, executing SQL queries, and retrieving data.

The ISPF table management utilities are responsible for creating, populating, and managing ISPF tables. These components interact through well-defined interfaces. For example, when the `RLXLOAD` command is issued, the command processor parses the command and passes the SQL query and table name to the DB2 interface.

The DB2 interface executes the query and returns the results to the command processor, which then uses the ISPF table management utilities to populate the specified ISPF table. Data storage utilizes ISPF table structures, which are managed within the ISPF environment. Network requirements are minimal, as communication with DB2 typically occurs over a local connection or a network connection configured within the z/OS environment.

Security is integrated with z/OS and DB2 security features, including authentication and access control mechanisms.
