Product Overview

The architecture of the IMS/VS Aid Program Package Sequential DAM Optimizer comprised several key components. The Input Processor handled the reading and validation of input data sets, including database schema and control card instructions. The Module Generator then used this information to create optimized randomizer modules.

The Output Formatter was responsible for formatting the generated modules for use within the IMS environment. Communication between these components occurred through data sets and control blocks within the z/OS system. The tool did not expose any APIs.

The tool is not supported. The SDO utility is the replacement.
