The architecture of DB2 Intelligent Miner for Data comprised several key components. The Data Mining Design interface provided a graphical user interface for model creation, management, and deployment. The mining engine executed the data mining algorithms, such as Apriori for association rules, k-means for clustering, and decision trees for classification.
The scoring engine applied the built models to new data. These components communicated using internal APIs and database connections. Data was stored within DB2 databases, leveraging DB2's robust storage and management capabilities.
Network requirements included connectivity to the DB2 database server. The product supported SQL-based functions and stored procedures for model building and scoring. BuildClasModel` stored procedure was used for classification model building.
