CryptoMon

The CryptoMon architecture comprises several key components: the Admin Console, Key Management Server, Audit Log Processor, and Security Interface Module. The Admin Console provides a GUI for managing keys, users, and configurations. The Key Management Server handles key generation, storage, and rotation.

The Audit Log Processor collects and processes audit events, providing detailed logs of all key management operations. The Security Interface Module integrates with z/OS security systems such as RACF or equivalent security managers. Communication between components occurs over TCP/IP, secured by TLS/SSL encryption.

The Key Management Server uses AES encryption for key storage. The system supports high availability through redundant components and failover mechanisms. The database used for storing key metadata is a relational database, optimized for performance and scalability.

The network requirements include access to the z/OS system and the database server. The Admin Console communicates with the Key Management Server over HTTPS. The CLI provides an alternative interface for administrative tasks.

The architecture is designed to be modular and scalable, allowing for future enhancements and integrations. The system also supports key backup and recovery mechanisms to ensure business continuity.
